im nearly sure, "EVIL DEAD" is based on an real story! and the entire story is reduced maybe on this:
couple of peoples on LSD, gets in a game of mental doctor at one of those persons. but this game escaladed. (its just to sick to be fiction)

while "normal" peoples gets maybe aggressions against some peoples, which could be very deep, is a real psycho doing his acting.
